Rob says:

“The nose feels mysterious, shrouding layers of joy beneath stoic oak and cool, suave subtleties. The palate yields all its secrets with a fleshy cornucopia of warmly-scented pureed fruits and unknowable spices. Casks like this don’t come along too often! Stop what you are doing and buy a bottle of this, or persuade a friend to go halves, or find a supremely well managed bar that has it available by the dram. Do not allow yourself to be without this.”

Tasting Notes

This sublime blend dances out of the glass: aromas of coconut and warm gorse flowers interweave with melting butter and honeyed toast - truly mouth-watering. The palate is at once vibrant and vast, with notes of mango, delicate hemp, wood polish, beeswax and spiced fruit, all rolling around the mouth. The finish offers more fruit, orange and lychee. An exceptionally complex and ever-evolving glass of whisky; if Tolstoy made whisky, it would taste like this.

Distillery

Berry Bros & Rudd have proud history in supplying Blended Whisky dating back to the 19th Century. While our most notable Blend may have been Cutty Sark introduced in 1923, over the years we've put together many different Blended Whiskies

Jonny says: “Blended Malts lack the inherent romance of single malts, and can be difficult to get excited about, but if you can see past this bias you will be rewarded. This cask is incredible, old style tropical fruit rules the palate, it’s one of the best casks we’ve released in the last 18 months.”
