Ronnie Cox

“Don’t be deceived by this lightly coloured dram. The early finish of floral notes turns towards nuttiness with plenty of orchard fruits and creamy spice. It has an abundant of fruit, apple blossom with a touch of liquorice. It’s an uplifting perfect summer dram!”

Tasting Notes

The aromas are crisp, clean and fruity with a hint of sea breeze. It is assertive on the palate, its fruitiness cut by a slightly dry edge and lingering salty tang: a reminder of the distillery’s coastal location.

Distillery

Inchgower Distillery was built in 1871 near the fishing village of Buckie. The distillery went bankrupt in 1936 but was bought out and sold to a large distiller in 1938. Only one percent of lnchgower produced is bottled as a single malt.

Doug says: “Located on the outskirts of the coastal town of Buckie, Inchgower epitomizes that coastal style of single malt. It is one of few distilleries that has ever been owned by a local town council.”
