Unveiling our Refreshed Classic Range

At Berry Bros. & Rudd, we have over three centuries of expertise in delivering the finest drinks for our customers' enjoyment. Exploring the world for the finest flavours, with our journey started with coffee and tea, and as we delved into the world of wine and spirits, we've always taken pride in offering a diverse range of products. As a merchants and not just an independent bottler we're committed to providing exceptional service and information to help our customers learn more about what they are enjoying and help guide them to discovering new treasures, all with the assurance of the highest quality.

In 2018, we unveiled the Classic Range, a carefully curated selection of whiskies designed to showcase the key styles and regions of Scotch Whisky. This range offers our customers a variety of spirits that highlight the true classic styles, inviting them to explore and discover new delights and enjoy old favourites from this historic and icon whisky making nation

Our spirits curator, Felix Dear, has meticulously cared for our casks and handpicked the finest ones to create our latest small batches of these Classic whiskies, which we are excited to announce that after six years, we have redefined our range to provide greater visibility into what people are enjoying while maintaining our focus on the classic styles and quality. We've ensured that our range not only tells you the style but also provides detailed information about what you're drinking, including region, cask type, and where important age, guiding you through our range and introducing you to the categories we love so much.

We are proud to unveil our new look Classic Range that includes some familiar favourites and an exciting addition. Our Islay Reserve Single Malt is now our Islay Traditional Cask Single Malt, while our beloved Sherry Cask Matured Single Malt remains unchanged in style but now proudly boasts a 12-year-old age statement to become our Classic Speyside Sherry Cask 12 Year Old Single Malt, revealing the region of origin of that spirits as well.

And finally we can at last announce our latest addition, the Speyside Traditional Cask 16 Year Old Single Malt, showcasing the perfect marriage between spirit and maturity, with delicate pineapple, fried flowers, butterscotch and granary bread it offers a truly exceptional example of a true classic!

But what exactly is a traditional cask, you may ask? For us, these are casks these are the casks that have been used for storing and aging Scotch Whisky for centuries. They're not the first-fill casks that impart their own wonderful flavours on the spirit like our sherry butts, but rather refill wood that supports the aging process, allowing the true spirit flavors and classic whisky styles to shine through.
